From mid-September to mid-December 2017, PhD student Marina Villamaña will be visiting the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego. In collaboration with Peter J.S. Franks, and in the framework of the REMEDIOS project, they will use mathematical modelling to investigate the connection between turbulence and mixing and the vertical distribution of chlorophyll in the Ría de Vigo (NW Spain) during summer stratification.
